The Arc of Hilo was the most recent beneficiary of the Ohana Fuels “Fuel Up. Do Good.” Community Giving Program.

Ohana Fuels partners with nonprofit organizations serving the needs of the local community, and donates a portion of the proceeds from every gallon of gasoline purchased at its stations in that area.

The total donation to Arc of Hilo was $5,215.58 from gasoline sales during the second quarter and proceeds from car-washes held during the quarter.

The Arc of Hilo enriches the lives of youth and adults with disabilities through employment training, youth transition services, community living support and low-income housing.

“The generous support of Ohana Fuels will help the Arc of Hilo fulfill its mission, especially with our school-to-work program and Career Exploration, which helps youth with disabilities prepare for community employment by age 18 alongside their non- disabled peers,” said Robert Efford, CEO of the Arc of Hilo.

“We are honored to support local nonprofits like Arc of Hilo through our ‘Fuel Up. Do Good.’ program,” said Kimo Haynes, president of Hawaii Petroleum. “Their exceptional work helps local residents and neighborhoods to thrive, and we vow to offer continued support in the future.”
